Default Concept Build PvE E/Me: Fragile Crystals

this build will only work if playing in a team that can spread a lot of conditions, preferably at the specified target

[skill]Armor Of Earth[/skill][skill]Fevered Dreams[/skill][skill]Fragility[/skill][skill]Glyph Of Lesser Energy[/skill][skill]Arcane Echo[/skill][skill]Teinai's Crystals[/skill][skill]Hypochondria[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

Energy Storage - 11 + 1 + 1
Illusion Magic - 11
Earth Magic - 10 + 1

Idea behind this build is to a) before battle cast armor of earth for extra armour, b) cast fevered dreams and fragility on selected target = damage and condition speading to foes in the area c) lesser energy then archane echo and (this is the hard bit) teinai's crystals when you're adjacent to foe. Make sure fagility is still active then cast hypochondria, followed by the echoed tenai's crystals assuming you're still next to the enemy. Cast hypochondria again once recharged if necessary.

Hopefully this will cause repeated activation of fragility, which must be kept up at all times. Might be worthwhile changing lesser energy for more armor depending on how much energy is used. getting close enough to activate crystals is the main problem with this build. I know people don't like ele's running into the frontline but there's no other condition removal on foes, plus you could just run in and out if you're lucky

let me know what you guys think

Um I hope you are kidding...

The sequence you described is pretty much impossible to accomplish in any setting (pve or pvp).

This would work only in the isle of the nameless on the practice targets, who do not move or heal.

I also liked that you are mimicing crystals when it has a duplicate skill.

Oh and your plan to run up quickly (while being slowed down by armor of earth) cast echo, crystals, etc. then run away is also pretty win.

That's a build that I'd rather see as a part of a whole team.

Understandably, you note that it has to be in a party of condition-causers, but I think that if you're going to post a build relying on a team, you should post a team of builds.

Stand alone, that build is junk. In a team, I don't believe Armor of Earth will really be important. The build itself should have at least one or two conditions it can apply to be useful by itself.

Crystal Shards, use it.
Yeah this will be hard to pull off, only will work if a few guildies run supporting builds for this like you said massive condition pressure...

The idea isn't condition pressure, it's a SPIKE. The degen/slow/blind/whatever from conditions isn't the point - the point is the damage from [[[email protected]] both when the conditions are applied (lesser extent) then mass removed/applied/removed with the [[Teinai's [email protected]] > [[Hypochondriac] > [[Crystal [email protected]] spell-chain.

That's 16 damage per condition applied (which is going to be intermittent; the whole reason the Spike begins and ends with TC/CW), 76 damage from TC/CW + 16 damage x number of Conditions removed > 16 damage x number of Conditions reapplied by Hypo > 76 dmg from TC/CW + 16 damage x number of Conditions removed. The only thing that makes this spike nice is the fact that all the damage dealt is armor-ignoring. 5 and a half seconds, not counting Conditions being applied is not really a decent spike, and that's how long it's going to take you to get off the spell-chain. That's saying that you replace [[Arcane Echo] with [[Crystal [email protected]], the Proph version of [[Teinai's [email protected]]

Definitely should be part of a team build. Looks like it may be fun and something to tweak on. probably not the most stable thing but it has potential if placed in the correct team. At least you are thinking.

[skill]Armor Of Earth[/skill][skill]Fevered Dreams[/skill][skill]Fragility[/skill][skill]Glyph Of Lesser Energy[/skill][skill]Arcane Echo[/skill][skill]Teinai's Crystals[/skill][skill]Hypochondria[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

that is how i would arrange it, casting from left to right
[fevered [email protected]][[email protected]][[email protected]][teinai's [email protected]][crystal [email protected]][ward of [email protected]][[email protected]][[email protected]]

now take into account that this is just thrown together but it may have potential. feel free to make ajustments. Im aware that there is a lot of weakness being thrown around.
[[email protected]][signet of lost [email protected]][enfeebling [email protected]][rip [email protected]][plague [email protected]][weaken [email protected]][mark of [email protected]][resurrection signet]
[Jagged [email protected]][signet of lost [email protected]][animate bone [email protected]][animate shambling [email protected]][death [email protected]][blood of the [email protected]][putrid [email protected]][resurrection signet]
[weapon of remedy][signet of lost souls][life][spirit light][soothing memories][mend body and soul][protective was kaolai][death pact signet]

still the spikes from [fragility] wouldn't even come close to that of [discord] and that is faar too many spells just to feed into conditions especially when you are just removing them with [crystal wave].. even with all that you are really only working with about 5 conditions which would only make the spikes about 75 damage on application and 75 on removal. Not to mention that it will never be a sure thing because the recharge time for condition application will not ensure clean spikes.
